 Trevor’s Trails offers 4 different guided tours; The Gate Trail, visit a traditional Xhosa home, 4×4 trail to Gxara Falls and a sundowner cruise up the Qolora River. Trevor’s Trails is a must for nature enthusiasts. View more here.

 A 2.5km walk along the coastline takes you to the picturesque mouth of the Gxara river where you can cool off in the estuary and have a picnic. Swimming pool with seaviews.

Seagulls boasts excellent waters including Rock, Surf and River Fishing. The Qolora Lagoon is fished by Saltwater Fly Fisherman. A large variety of fish are regularly taken along the Seagulls coastline with the best fishing right in front of the Hotel, Which is only footsteps from the beach.

Kei Mouth also boasts an excellent shell collection at the Hazel Jefferies Shell Museum and there are several craft shops nearby in Grosvenor Square.

Great Kei Adventures offers guided tours, kayak rentals and transfer/shuttle services in the southern Wild Coast area including Kei Mouth, Morgan Bay, Double Mouth, Trennerys and Seagulls Hotel area.

Day rides in Kei Mouth and Morgan Bay, as well as multi-day stage rides along the Wild Coast. Meander from surf to savanna, exploring hidden coves and beaches, while experiencing the essence of rural Africa on horseback.

The Morganville Farm Private Motorcycle Museum is located just 8km from Kei Mouth and houses over 650 motorcycles, a large passenger jet, several double-decker buses, ox-wagons, train coaches, antique wooden organs and dentist’s and barber’s chairs. 

Climb or abseil on the beautiful cliffs in Morgan Bay, there are around 500 short routes on the cliffs just West of town, ranging from grade 10 27, with the majority in the moderate (1722) grade.

The Kei Mouth Pont

The Pont is in operation seven days a week, 365 days a year. They only close when the river is in flood or the tide too low. There is usually only one Pont in operation at a time, but during holidays both are in action. Each Pont can carry two vehicles at a time and the first crossing of the day is made at 7am, when people from the Transkei side make their way across to work in Kei Mouth. The Pont can carry up to two vehicles at a time and with lots of space for passengers on either side.
